holy smokes!!! I can’t believe it.  I knew from the Organic Consumers Organization that Dr. Bronner’s was suing many companies for advertising products as all-natural or organic that weren’t.  And the list of the alleged liars is disheartening because it includes companies that have been around for decades, companies I watched my mom use her whole life (Jason, Nature’s Gate), companies I thought I’d always be able to trust.  It comes out after Don Bolles, drummer of the punk band The Germs, is charged with possessing a date rape drug–that ALL natural, organic soaps will show false positives in a GHB test and ALL non-organic, non-natural soaps will test negative for GHB. Bizarre, but helpful for the Bronner’s in pursuing truth in advertising!  I also want to give Bronner’s some kudos for taking responsibility for the issue. They paid the costs to represent Don Bolles in his court case and now they are using their funds to make our world safer AND cleaner!  Here’s Dr. Bronner’s “Punk Rock Soap Opera,” video explaining the whole fiasco!  In closing, I’d like to say that with a name like, “The Germs,” this whole situation must have been meant to be.  I don’t think anyone can refute that truth really is stranger than fiction.
